About Cuprinol TimberCare
TimberCare has been formulated to be used on exterior rough sawn garden wood such as fences, sheds, gates and trellis. The Cuprinol TimberCare range may be applied over wood that has been previously pressure treated, or treated with creosote provided it has been allowed to weather. It is not recommended that TimberCare be used on smooth or planed wood, decking or garden furniture.
How much is needed?
A 5L tub is normally sufficient for: 20m² with 1 coat, or 6 fence panel sides (6' x 5')

Preparing for a job.
Read the Health, Safety and Environmental Information opposite. Bare or untreated wood should be pre-treated with an appropriate wood preserver to prevent rot and decay. Surfaces should be dry and free from dirt and algae etc. Remove any algae, lichen, fungi or moss using an appropriate fungicidal wash or cleaner designed for the job.
How to apply
STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE AND DURING USE. Cuprinol TimberCare is not suitable for Spray application. Try a test area first to ensure that colour and adhesion are acceptable. Please note that the colour in the tub may be different to the final shade when dry. Brush on evenly along the grain. Do not apply in temperatures below 5C, in damp conditions or if rain is likely before the product has dried.
Drying time
TimberCare will be touch dry in 2-4 hours under normal weather conditions. One coat is normally sufficient but a second coat can be applied for a deeper colour or added protection. Ensure first coat is fully dry before applying subsequent coat.
Cleaning and storage
Reseal tub after use. Clean up any spills while still wet. After use remove as much product as possible from brushes/equipment before cleaning with water. Do not store or use in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
